Long time no speak

It has been a momentous few months for me since my last post. There have been lots of changes in my personal circumstances....some for better and some for worse. A car crash on the 10th September sent my little Punto to its grave, but thankfully there were no other casualties and since then I have have replaced her with an old black Astra whom I love dearly and affectionately call Vernon.
I became single during the month of September and for a while lived out of a suitcase round at a dear friends......sad times but the healing had already begun - it was a change that was inevitable and a long time coming.
After a few weeks of searching for a place to call my own I found my little Willow Cottage and moved in on November the 4th, getting used to the quiet was the most challenging part, but I am now happily ensconsed in my own space with the freedom to live as I choose and the feeling of liberation and peace is priceless.
The bears have taken a back burner during this adjusting stage and instead I have taken up my paintbrushes when expression has been needed. I don't have many little friends left for rehoming so will be taking up my sewing needle just as soon as I have submitted by essay on the 9th January.
Financially I don't think I have ever found it so hard and it has been touch and go as to whether I can afford to continue with the archaeology degree. Deep down I know I must not let it go so will find a way somehow to continue with it.

Here are a few of the paintings that have been expressed over the last few months.........

Elen of the ways - a gift for my dear artistic witchy friend Sam

Jealousy - a rather pensive young lady with green eyes

Remembrance - Painted in memory of those that have fallen and in particular my Great Grandfather George

Bitterness - A reminder not to fall into the trap of bitterness

Hope - born out of love and optimism
The other change I have forgotten to mention is that of my appearance......my long golden hair is gone! Replaced by a short choppy red mop - suits the air of change surrounding me at the moment and has helped me feel as though I have my own identity again.

Happy New Year to everyone - lets get the age of Aquarius off to a good start!
